The Blue Parrot
Boutique and Community Room/Tea Room

317 Main Street, Stevensville, MT 59870
777-0520
Joyce Carr, Proprietor

We have adapted the name of our establishment from the Blue Parrot Tea House of the 1920's. The original was located in Missoula, MT at 515 University Avenue.

The term Tea House typically referred to an establishment in a detached house. A Tea Shop would have been located in a traditional storefront. Tea Gardens had outdoor tables. And, Tea Rooms were found inside larger businesses such as stores or hotels. During the 20's the name 'Tea Shop' took on the aura of something fashionable and exclusive. As a result, Tea Shops began selling everything from dresses to candy to tea.

In the spirit of the 20's, we hope you will appreciate our Blue Parrot, which emphasizes a Victorian boutique, a community room/tea room and the social aspects provided through the Victorian Ladies' Tea Guild, L.L.C.
